Every roof we replace runs through the same four stages. Knowing the order is how you know whether the crew on your roof is doing it right.
Old roofing comes off and the deck gets walked. Soft or rotten sheathing is found now, not after the new roof is on.
Underlayment goes down and the deck is watertight before anything else happens. Material gets staged so the install runs without stopping.
Shingle or panel goes on, with the valleys, flashing, and penetrations detailed as we go rather than patched at the end.
Ridge vent and caps finish the roof. We magnet-sweep the yard and drive so you are not finding nails in the grass next spring.

Contractors: most of our partners already have established pricing for their projects, and we work within it. When a job falls outside what your sheet covers — steep pitch, multiple tear-off layers, difficult access, custom metal detailing — we say so up front and agree on terms before the crew rolls.
